Rust servers for beginners, live

Live now: 490 Rust servers carry a beginner tag in their name, meaning noob, beginner, newbie, new player, newcomer, learning or starter. The list is ordered by current player count, refreshed every five minutes. A name is a claim, not a rule, so read each server's own rules before you commit a wipe to it.

Check three columns before you join. Population tells you whether the server is busy or quiet this minute. Last wipe tells you how old the map is: a server wiped an hour ago is crowded and chaotic, one wiped last week is settled and harder to break into. Group shows the team cap, and a solo, duo or trio limit is usually kinder to a new player than the default 8. Gather rates are mostly unstated, which normally means vanilla; a few servers here advertise 2x, which cuts the early farming without the inflated loot of higher rates.

The search box is the fastest way to trim the table. Type solo, duo or trio to find low group limits, or EU, US or AU to find a server near you. The Region and Group columns cannot be filtered on their own, so the search box is the only way to narrow by those words. Wipe timing matters more here than on most lists: a server due to wipe within the hour is not worth joining now. If you want no player combat at all, start with PvE servers; for the least pressure from other players, try a solo server. For context on how busy the game is overall, see the live player count.
